The Courtyard is a stylish cafe and taproom from the team behind Morridge, Birmingham’s beloved speciality coffee roastery. By day it’s a cosy breakfast and brunch spot serving signature porridge with seasonal toppings, fresh pastries and toasties alongside excellent flat whites. The space itself-set in a converted industrial courtyard with high ceilings, exposed brick and steel girders-shifts into a relaxed bar come afternoon, with cask ales from Church End, craft beers from local breweries Attic and Birmingham Brewing, plus wine and cocktails. It’s a genuinely community-focused place: monthly quizzes, yoga classes, dog-friendly with treats on the bar. Card payments only.

Such a lovely space, a real gem within Harborne! I’ve been here a few times now and whether I’m popping in for a relaxed Sunday morning brunch or for drink in the evening, it’s always a pleasure. Prices can be a little steep sometimes but for the most part I think this is justified by how nice the space is. Most recently came for the jazz night and would highly recommend :)
