Questions

7See all
Is Seven Falls suitable for children?

The walk is enjoyable for older, active children who are steady on their feet, but it is not ideal for young children or pushchairs. Some sections are steep, rough, and muddy, and getting close to the waterfalls involves scrambling down slippery banks that require real care.

How busy does it get, and when is the best time to visit?

This isn't confirmed here, but the walk includes steep sections and stream crossings, so allowing extra time and visiting in good weather is sensible.

What should I wear on my feet?

Sturdy hiking boots with a good grip are strongly recommended. Sections of the trail can be very muddy after rain, crossings near Arnfield Brook can be wet, and some paths close to the waterfalls are steep and slippery.
