Baloci
Baloci is a Michelin Guide-listed fine dining restaurant housed in a stunning Georgian building that has been transformed into an opulent space with rich red and gold interiors, crystal chandeliers and plush velvet seating. The restaurant celebrates Silk Road cuisine, blending refined Italian craftsmanship with bold aromatic flavours of Persia and South Asia, drawing inspiration from the culinary traditions of Turkey, Iran, Balochistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. Diners can choose from tasting menus (6 or 8-course options) or à la carte selections featuring standout dishes like Sultani lamb chops. The experience extends to six uniquely themed boutique hotel rooms (Marco Polo, Babylon, Persia, Alexander the Great, Rumi, Taj Mahal) and sophisticated cocktail lounges including the subterranean Zoroaster Bar. Service is attentive and the wine list is carefully curated to pair with dishes.
Reviews
This review is for khadija, sorry if that’s not how you spell your name or if you have a completely different name. She gave us the best service, polite kind. Really makes sure your dinner experience is the best. The food was a 4/5 for me because I always enjoy Italian pasta, and we came just before the kitchen closed. I would recommend girls x

Best meal we have had all year!! We booked for our anniversary via first table. The ambiance is incredible, immaculately decorated and a lovely smell throughout the restaurant. Our server Matthew was very friendly and attentive, explaining the menu and filling up our water glasses often. The food was absolutely divine, every dish had an incredible depth of flavour and the truffle mash was the best mash either of us had ever had. They even threw in some free olives, a promotion for mini Arancini’s, a digestif at the end and some chocolates to congratulate us on our pregnancy. They were very pregnancy friendly, offering lots of good non alcoholic options for drinks that didn’t just taste like juice and accommodating me with decaf coffee for my affogato. We will certainly be returning and definitely recommending to all our friends!

I went to Baloci recently and honestly had such a good experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and stylish without feeling too formal, and the food was genuinely incredible. I started with the burrata, which was fresh and creamy, followed by the Silk Road Ragù. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the beef was so tender and full of flavour. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and beautifully presented. I finished with the tiramisu, which was the perfect end to the meal. A huge thank you as well to all of the waiting staff, who were so friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the evening. We also want to say a special thank you to Fara for taking the time to show us the upstairs rooms and helping us book into the hotel at such short notice. The upstairs space is absolutely beautiful, and after seeing it, we knew straight away it was where we wanted to celebrate our upcoming wedding. After such an amazing experience, we genuinely can’t wait to come back and enjoy it all again with our family and friends. Highly recommend Baloci to anyone looking for amazing food, fantastic service, and a really special atmosphere.

April 2026 review: Mixed reviews on the food and service. The scallop part of the scallop dish was cooked to perfection. Rest of the elements on this dish didn't suit and didn't taste good. The mushroom soup was great! The mains were not up to the mark.My monkfish was rubbery and way over cooked and the whole dish didn't come together well and my husband's pasta Ragu wasa but bland. The date pudding was nice.Make sure to ask for more of the sauce. Service was friendly but painfully slow. Few years ago: This is a review for around the time they opened. I love the way they take you on a wonderful journey through the different rooms with beautiful settings, love the cocktails and it's complex flavours, service was excellent and the food overall was presented well on many of the dishes . Only comment I would make is on the fish dish which was really good except for the random half a raw tomato placed under the fish which was unnecessary with no seasoning which was a bit surprising. For the dessert, menu said baklava and I was expecting to to see some form of the actual dessert but it came in an ice cream flavour format which was unexpected. Could do with a little more rice with the meat for the biryani ( this is me nitpicking). My favourite was definitely the kebab and the biryani. I want to compliment the carrot and broccoli in the Nihari dish was nicely seasoned and the generous lamb portion for a tasting menu also must be called out! They also didn't hesitate to add spice and little heat to some of the dishes. Sorbets were given as palate cleansers in between which didn't seem to have a smooth texture but that was okay.I love the fact they give you complimentary cocktails at the start as they have a lovely complex menu to chose from! Overall would recommend to try the restaurant and the food and definitely their cocktails :)

My wife and I had an amazing tasting menu here. Food was delicious. Generous portions but not so much that you felt stuffed at the end! All the meat dishes were beautifully cooked and the flavours were rich but not too heavy. The service was excellent, particular thanks to Saqlain and Khadija. It was also our prayer time whilst we were there and they made arrangements for us to be able to pray. One of the many reasons we would be very happy to come here again.
