Jin Bo Law

Jin Bo Law sits on the 14th floor of Hotel Saint in Aldgate, putting you level with the Gherkin and within eyeshot of Tower Bridge, the Shard, the Walkie Talkie, and St Botolph Without Aldgate below. The interior is fitted with dark marble floors, bronze accents, and an Asian-inspired long bar, with a balcony-style outdoor terrace that stretches the full length of the room. Tables fill up fast on weekends, but walk-ins are welcomed on a first-come-first-served basis during quieter midweek sessions.

The cocktail menu is the main draw, built around Asian spirits and unexpected ingredient pairings. Signature serves include Dragon Air, which swaps gin for Baijiu to deliver notes of pear and chocolate in a white Negroni format, and a Fizz from a Rose combining kaffir lime, rose liqueur, egg white, and ginger beer. Mocktails are also available, and the bar stocks a strong Champagne selection alongside tequila and mezcal pours. Bar bites are on offer but the focus is firmly on the drinks.

From Wednesday through Sunday, resident DJs spin R&B, Afrobeats, hip-hop, and party classics, turning the rooftop into one of the City’s more energetic late-night spots. Ticketed Saturday night events run regularly via DesignMyNight, with a smart-casual dress code enforced at the door. The outdoor terrace closes at 11pm due to noise restrictions, but the party carries on inside until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Melissa the door host was a lovely lady that managed to find us space to sit comfortably to enjoy drinks even though the venue tables were fully booked. She was so kind and pleasant to us and I would definitely return providing that Melissa was our host. We also dealt with Naomi who made sure our drinks were always full and reserved our seats whenever we were up dancing, the service from these girls was the best I’ve experienced.

FAQ

What is the dress code at Jin Bo Law?

Smart casual is enforced at the door, so avoid sportswear, trainers, or overly casual clothing. Dressing up a little will help ensure entry, especially on weekends and for Saturday night events.

Do I need to book a table or can I just turn up?

Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come-first-served basis, but tables fill up quickly on weekends. Reservations are recommended for Friday and Saturday, and Saturday night events often require tickets booked in advance via DesignMyNight.

What is the best time to visit if I want a quieter experience with good views?

Midweek evenings are noticeably quieter and walk-ins are easier to secure. Arriving early in the evening also gives you the best chance of grabbing a terrace table before the crowd builds.

Is Jin Bo Law suitable for children or families?

Jin Bo Law is primarily an adult cocktail bar with a late licence and DJ nights, so it is not well suited to children. The atmosphere, late hours, and ticketed evening events make it best for adults.

How much should I expect to spend per person?

Budget roughly £30 to £90 per person depending on how many cocktails and bar bites you order. Signature cocktails and Champagne will push you toward the higher end of that range.

How do I get there, and is there parking nearby?

The bar is on the 14th floor of Hotel Saint at 9 Aldgate High Street, EC3N 1AH, which is a short walk from Aldgate and Aldgate East tube stations. Central London parking is limited and expensive, so public transport is strongly recommended.

Is the outdoor terrace open all night?

The outdoor terrace closes at 11pm due to noise restrictions. After that, the party continues inside until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Is Jin Bo Law accessible for people with mobility requirements?

The bar is located on the 14th floor of Hotel Saint, which is a full-service hotel, so lift access should be available. It is advisable to contact the venue directly ahead of your visit to confirm specific accessibility arrangements.
