The Big Birmingham Bake
The Big Birmingham Bake is an interactive baking competition hosted in a marquee at the Custard Factory in Digbeth. Participants work in pairs (or teams of up to three for odd-numbered bookings) to bake and decorate a themed creation within 90 minutes, with clear instructions and pre-measured ingredients provided. All equipment, utensils, aprons and a fancy box to take your creation home are included, and the venue handles all the washing up. A head baker leads the session and judges the final creations. The experience is designed for all skill levels with no prior experience needed. Sessions run throughout the week and weekend with different themes each month. The venue accommodates group bookings, private events, team building days, hen parties and celebrations, with food and drinks packages available.

A great afternoon! Very well organised and lots of fun. We had no baking experience and were amazed at what we pulled off in the 90 minutes. We arrived early so enjoyed a pre drink at the bar and you can order drinks to your baking station throughout the experience. The Creation Corner was a nice touch!

What a treat! My daughter had an experience voucher feom Christmas and we have used it this week. Everything was well thought out, the staff were friendly and helpful and the energy in the tent was high! The judging at the end was fun too. Not a winner this time but definitely something we would do again!

Went to the Birmingham Bake Off event and I’ve got to shout out the host, Champagne — she was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The energy? Immaculate. The vibe? Unmatched. She brought confidence, warmth, and real presence to the whole event. No gimmicks needed — just pure talent and personality carrying the room effortlessly. Champagne genuinely MADE the experience. Funny, engaging, and just an all-round amazing woman who knows exactly how to connect with people and keep the atmosphere buzzing. Big love and respect to Champagne for doing her thing and doing it properly 👏✨ If she’s hosting, you already know it’s going to be a top-tier event. Love Maria x

A Sweet Surprise in Digbeth! Booked The Birmingham Bake as a birthday surprise for my girlfriend and it was honestly SO much fun. The whole experience was the perfect mix of creative, challenging, and hilariously competitive – we ended up coming 2nd out of 10 cakes, and yes, we’re still bragging about it! 😄 The head baker was brilliant – full of good vibes, super friendly and helpful (not that we needed help of course… 😉 tongue firmly in cheek). We even met some lovely new people along the way, which made it feel like a properly shared experience rather than just another activity. The venue is in Digbeth, so great local atmosphere, and parking was surprisingly easy which is always a win. Loved the creative corner and the equipment was good – though a couple of things could be slightly easier to use. I’d also just encourage a bit more emphasis on hand washing and seeing work station cleaned before getting started, but nothing that took away from the fun. Plus the young assistant helped keep your station clean throughout the activity. All in all, a brilliant time, loads of laughs, and definitely something different. We’d absolutely go again! 🎂✨
