The Bracebridge
The Bracebridge is chef Andrew Sheridan’s showcase restaurant set on the banks of Bracebridge Pool in the heart of Sutton Park. The elegant dining room accommodates 50 covers and offers a seasonal menu of elevated British classics, from braised meats to refined seafood platters (crab, lobster, langoustine, oysters), alongside Sunday roasts featuring meat, fish or vegetarian options served family-style with Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese. The covered and heated terrace seating 150 provides casual al fresco dining with self-service street food from partners including Sip & Slice (Mediterranean), Chuck & Cluck (chicken), and Cofton Pizza, alongside a coffee kiosk. Afternoon tea is served Wednesday to Saturday, whilst weekend brunch (Saturday-Sunday 9am-12pm) includes full breakfast and pastries. The refined setting with water views makes it equally suited to romantic dates, celebrations and gatherings.

Afternoon tea, kindly gifted to us by friends,. The food was excellent as was the bottle of bubbly that came with our afternoon tea. The service was very very good - our young waiter, Jack, was very friendly, professional and helpful; he is a credit to the establishment. The position of the restaurant next to the Bracebridge Pool was lovely with a view over the pool and to the woods.

When the sun is shining on a bank holiday weekend, there’s no better lunchtime come mid-afternoon terrace to sit, relax, and enjoy good food and cold drinks in Sutton than The Bracebridge Terrace. With the backdrop of Bracebridge lake, and mix of people out to just chill and spend quality time with friends and family, it’s the perfect antidote to the usual hustle and hassle of a busy city centre on a sunny day. Mark manages a tight operation with a young team of staff eager to leave punters with a positive experience. Thank you Sam, Emma, Mark and the team at The Bracebridge. 😎 There’s a reason for our loyal patronage. 👍🏼

Atmosphere is great, perfect location however the service was slow, no one came up to us- Everytime we wanted to order as the barcode wouldn’t work we had to get up and get someone. Once we were seated we waited 15 minutes and no one came up to us. Again we had to go and grab someone. Food was ok, we paid an extra £2 for truffle and parm fries which had no truffle on just grated parm which was disappointing. Once we ordered drinks they took another 16 minutes to come out. Very slow service however to give it to them it was very busy due to the weather. It does say to book but you can walk in, we were lucky to have a table quite quickly as we didn’t book

Although the atmosphere was great, the food was below average considering the price. We tried the pizza, burger, and steak sandwich — the pizza was the best option, while the burger and steak sandwich lacked flavor and felt overpriced. Service was excellent, and the staff were very kind. Overall, I’d recommend this place more for drinks and atmosphere than for food.

Mark looked after us like family, the restaurant was comfy and clean and the food was stupendous. Presentation was a sight to behold, flavour combinations were spectacular and portion size was ample. We loved the ambience, being lakeside on a cold winter day.was lovely. We will be back.
