Read all 5Absolutely wonderful place and very unique decor and surroundings. Our waitress, Pallvi, was so lovely and humorous. Made us feel very much at home. Great service. The food was tasty, with quite a few options, and was very nice for what we had. Will be definitely revisiting and doing a show in the near future. Amazing to think there is a 100 seat theatre at the back of the building. Thank you for hosting us. Ian & Claire. XxX
First ever visit to and must say how disappointed we were with the quolity of the over priced food and how bad it tasted.. unable to even cut through the Lasagne. Looked like a few days old and just reheated with 1 slice of garlic bread. The food and. Drinks are all over priced. Staff ignore you when waiting to be served. I reported that my meal was well over cooked and un fit to eat. Never offered anything in return Total spent in one visit 4x drinks and 2x Since my visit on thursday Ive been very unwell so just take note before visiting. meal and drinks cost £70

A pub converted from an old bank having very good atmosphere. The Home-made lager is good. Staff are friendly and nice. She gave us a tour to the secret theater upstairs which is fascinated. The another room with audiovisual equipment is very cosy and is nice for friend or family gathering.
Stopped for lunch at this pub with a fringe theatre at the rear. A beautiful old building, once a stock market, with a huge decorative bar in the middle. Service was warm and friendly, our waitress was very chatty. A good selection of pies, sandwiches and various main meals. Beers, spirits and wines available. We chose a mushroom & lentil pie and chicken, bacon & leek pie for lunch. The meals were served with fresh veg and a mini gravy boat of red wine gravy. The food was good. The pub was busy with city workers and tourists enjoying a drink and lunch. Worth a visit.
OMG W-O-W amazing Sunday roast. I had chicken was tempted to try the chicken and leak pie but thought a Sunday roast would be a good meal to set the base line, disappointed that turkey wasn't on the menu but over all happy with the meal. Great service and exemplary customer service. The Yorkshire puddling blew me away, soft crispy definitely made inhouse, a good balance on the gravy too. Well presented. Felt stuffed worth the 20 bob. Building has charm and character definitely will be revisiting and hope to catch a show in the theater. The place has a charm and character perfect for a visit over the Christmas period where you can really feel it. It's important to visit such businesses to help keep them going so other generations to come get to experience it. To sum it up " I left this place 100% satisfied, happy belly happy bloke". I don't just hand out 5 star reviews just check my history, this place is well deserving of it and I can easily say it was down to kitchen and front of house staff, so thank you.
